Conspiracy To Destroy Clay Aiken
Poor Clay Aiken.
He constantly gets the short end of the stick and a whole lot of BUT.
He led the fan voting every week on American Idol from the Wild Card week to the finale, BUT the possibly-random voting result gave Ruben Studdard the win.
He just wanted NSA sex, BUT his one night stand turned out to be a nightmare.
He was a guest host for Regis, BUT Kelly Ripa humiliated him.
Rosie O’Donnell defended him on national television, BUT outed him on The View.
Perez Hilton gives him regular press, BUT picks on him regularly.
And now, he finally gets to back on tour, BUT a woman shoves him during a routine Continental Airlines trip.
What happened to the good old days, when a man could be fey and closeted and not get hassled over it? Is this really progress? Could Rock Hudson have survived in this climate?
I think not.
With all of Clay Aiken’s bad fortune, one would think that he simply has bad luck. I’m not one to believe in ‘mumbo jumbo’ like roots or curses. I believe in conspiracies. Someone has it out for Clay Aiken. Someone who despises femininity in men. Someone who just can’t stomach a white boy with soul.
While you ponder who it could be, take a look at where poor Clay’s come from and FEEL THE GUILT!
All Clay Aiken wants to do is entertain you. Is there any harm in that?
So, who is behind the conspiracy to destroy Clay Aiken? I have a guess…
Maybe Isaiah Washington has been learning from Dr. Doom, as I suggested a while back, right here.

The gays refuse to believe that he isn’t gay and will mock and humiliate him until he says he is, even if he isn’t. Either he gives them what they want or they will never let up until he has nothing left.
This level of hate and harassment is inhumane to do to anyone, gay or straight.
The homophobic rest of the world mocks and ridicules him because they think he might be gay, but if he is telling the truth, what can he do?
For a straight man, this has got to be a nightmare that has gone on for 4 years. He said the guy that claimed an affair is lying and he’s never met him. I believe Clay. Most stars have crazy stalkers that think they are married or meant to be together? Well that guy is an obsessed and psychotic fan that has blogged for 18 months about his obsession. He even admitted that it was all a hoax, then took it back. He’s proved without a doubt that he’s a nutcase.
Yeah. Poor Clay. He’s a nice guy and uber talented. They should leave him in peace.

I never understood the Aiken hate. Avril Lavigne hate? Yes. Hootie and the Blowfish, loathing? Of course. Outright contempt for Diddy? Who doesn’t have it? But Clay Frickin’ Aiken? Man, what is there to hate about the guy?

I’ll never understand the hatred that is aimed at Clay. He seems like a nice enough guy.
What is it about him that there is to hate so much?
Maybe its because the guy is uber talented and can sing circles around any of the other guys who’ve been on the radio in the last 5-10 years?
Maybe its because the guy actually has a personality and isn’t cookie cutter pop like a lot of the people on radio and television.
Maybe its because he’s charming, quick-witted and has great comedic timing (look at some of the youtube videos from his latest tour and you’ll understand).
Maybe its because he’s humble and self-depricating and knows his limitations yet is willing to take risks with his performances (at least on-stage).
Maybe it’s because no matter what people throw at him or say about him, his fans are loyal to him.
Maybe it’s because he’s one of the “good guys”. From what I’ve read and seen on tv, he does lots of work on behalf of children with disabilities and UNICEF. Until Idol did their “Idol Gives Back” thing this year, I’ve never seen ANYTHING that any former Idols have done for charity. When he does show up on TV to talk about the charity stuff, it’s to bring awareness to the issue or raise money for it, not to get a “pat on the back”, at least from what I’ve seen on TV.
Maybe someone can explain it to me, because I just don’t get it.

John Legend tried to end gay rumors by getting a boner on stage after “dirty dancing” with a female fan. Let’s hope Clay doesn’t try that kind of stunt! That’s the last thing we need to see!

If I had read this last year I would have thought you were nuts. But not anymore. I think you could be spot on.
Clay Aiknen doesn’t deserve a fraction of the bullshit that peolple write about him. He’s a decent, normal guy who may or may not be gay(dont see him as gay). He is a far more talented singer than the majority of recording artists today. That alone is probably pissing people off in a big way. And on top of that he is a nice guy with a great personality and a level of intelligence not normally seen on you average popstar. All of that makes him a threat to alot of the entertainment field where mediocrity and a lack of originality flourish.
So, yeah, I kinda agree. I think they (who ever they are) would love to take Clay down. I just hope he’s as strong as I suspect and he sticks it out. Maybe he’ll pay them back by becoming far bigger than they feared. Revenge by success!

If I read this last year, I’d think I was nuts too! Clay’s been shafted a lot since then, so things done changed.

David Archuleta Fans…
But, does it really matter who wins at this point? The 8 contestants left on the show have gotten enough exposure for a record label to sign them if they feel the contestant is a viable recording artist. Chris Daughtry, Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson, Kel…
