Baby Einstein Makes Kids Dumb
According to the LA Times, Baby Einstein makes kids dumb:
For every hour a day that babies 8 to 16 months old were shown such popular series as “Brainy Baby” or “Baby Einstein,” they knew six to eight fewer words than other children.
The article suggests that Baby Einstein is more likely to turn your kid into Homer Simpson than Einstein. Also, the doctor in the study noted he’d “rather babies watch ‘American Idol’ than these videos.”
After the inevitable lawsuit, parents will have a serious decision to make:
Save the settlement money to pay for their kids community college tuition or buy some serious meds in anticipation of their kids blaming Baby Einstein for everything from bad grades to why they forgot to take out the trash?
Thanks for the lifetime of guilt, Baby Einstein!
