WWE: We Know Roid Rage, And That Ain’t It!
According to TMZ, the WWE is rejecting claims that Chris Benoit, who engaged in a strange murder/suicide with his wife and kid last weekend, did so out of roid rage. The WWE’s deliberate break down of what constitutes rage seems like a dude playing Clue and trying to justify how Professor Plum couldn’t have been guilty with a candlestick in the study:
“The physical findings announced by authorities indicate deliberation, not rage…there were substantial periods of time between the death of the wife and the death of the son, again suggesting deliberate thought, not rage. The presence of a Bible by each is also not an act of rage.”
The WWE would seem unnecessarily defensive…if you weren’t aware of the big steroid scandal which rocked the company, the ghastly number of heart attacks allegedly linked to drug abuse, and the recent question of whether the tragedy is roid related.
Predetermined sports entertainment definitely isn’t the cakewalk you thought it was…
