Beware The Led Zeppelin Reunion
Following the lead of Van Halen and The Police, Led Zeppelin is reuniting twenty seven years after breaking up.
The concert needs an “Artist Expiration Date/Fan Advisory System” akin to the expiration dates and warnings placed on prescription drugs.
The Police needed an expiration date of 5/12/1992 and warnings like “Frequent Miscues and Tripping. Susceptible To Old Fartitude. Loss of Syncopation. Unbelievably Lame. ”
Lauryn Hill’s concert should have advised fans that she had an expiration date of 12/31/2002 in addition to warnings like “Reduced Physical Appearance. Loss of Vocal Performance. Prone to starting show 2 hours late. Loathe To Previous Commercial Success.”
I wonder what warnings should come with tickets to the Led Zeppelin Reunion…other than groupies with shark allergies should stay away?

I look forward to hearing how they sound. I’m not really the biggest fan but most music these days is really lame. Most of the festivals in the UK have been head-lined by The Who. It’s kinda sad when it takes a bunch of pensioners to kicks ass.
The late 60s/early 70s is my favourite period for music. Cream were great a couple of years ago too.

I’m sure Led Zep will be more energetic than Britney Spears…even with Jimmy Page’s bad back! And Robert Plant knows better than to have his belly showing! Bonham is the only wild card of the bunch…

The Police were quite good actually. I know their first few dates were rough, but I think they have hit their stride. They even appeared to be civil to one another.
It will be interesting to see how Zep fairs.

So Stewart Copeland’s lament was actually a call to arms? A call answered by Sting and Andy Summers. Copeland is a psychological genius!

The tough thing about reunions of bands with noteworthy vocalists is that said vocalist has probably lost a lot of vocal range over the years.
Still have to follow the link to see who they’re going to get as the drummer, and whether Jimmy and Robert like John now.

Bonham’s kid is drumming, which is eerily reminiscent of the Van Halen Mark Anthony replaced by Eddie’s kid thang. The only difference is Mark Anthony’s still ALIVE! Maybe Led Zep will let him play on “The Lemon Song”…
