It was your typical day of Sumo until a woman charged the ring (VIDEO):

It was not clear why she had attempted to reach the ring during one of the sport’s heavily televised six big tournaments, but she was carrying a bundle of flyers saying “help, bad spirits”.

Some believe she was protesting sexism in Sumo, which excludes women from entering the ring on the grounds that it is sacred and their presence, considered unclean, would pollute it.

But if she was protesting sexism, why was she was carrying a bundle of flyers saying “help, bad spirits”?

There are three theories:

1. She was trying to alert the public that one of the wrestlers was possessed and thus had an unfair advantage;

2. She was seeking help because she was possessed; or

3. She was trying to save one of the wrestlers from a tainted batch of sake intended to fix the match.

I think she was trying to cop a feel and get some jiggly Sumo lovin’. 

As for the flyers and feminism?  Purely coincidental.
